Hazelwood Camogie Team

A team of girls from Year 9 and Year 10 recently played a friendly Camogie match against Rathmore Grammar School. Both schools are currently running a 6 week programme at Key Stage 3 for Camogie with the help of Active communities Coach, Sean McKenna.

Hazelwood Goes to Work

This year Hazelwood Integrated College are implementing an innovative Careers Awareness Event called “Hazelwood Goes to Work”.  The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and educate our young people on the emergent career pathways within the Northern Ireland work place. Read more

Hannah lives on a housing estate at a sectarian interface in North Belfast. More than three quarters of the physical interfaces in Belfast lie within the top ten (Noble indices) most deprived wards in Northern Ireland. (Shirlow &Murtagh 2006). Hannah joined the College trampoline team in her first few weeks at the college. She has shown a real commitment to the team and enthusiasm for the sport, acting as an ambassador by encouraging other girls to get involved.  Read more
